Wood supply to Biotek facilities is controlled per the requirements of the FSC® Chain of Custody [1] and PEFC™ [2] while promoting sustainable forest management practices among its suppliers. 

Preserving biodiversity, especially in areas of significant ecological value, is a priority for the Altri Group. 

In this regard, Altri has been maintaining and enhancing its activities to:  

• Promote the restoration and conservation of biodiversity; 
• Practice a management model based on principles of added value; 
• Directly involve the community and local authorities; 
• Raise awareness among all its stakeholders, including employees, so that they can adhere to the principles of biodiversity protection; 
• Promote campaigns to disseminate and raise awareness of biodiversity values; 
• Maintain a supply policy that eliminates or avoids purchasing wood from sources that violate FSC® and PEFC™ rules, particularly concerning the illegal logging of timber without regard to the value of biodiversity or coming from regions where civil rights are violated.
