    Celtejo – Tejo Pulp Company, SARL, was established on November 23rd.

  • 1969

    Start of construction and assembly of the factory.

  • 1971

    Start of production of raw pine kraft pulp.

  • 1973

    Eucalyptus began to be used in pulp production.

  • 1975

    Nationalization of Celtejo.

  • 1976

    Celtejo became integrated into Portucel.

  • 1981

    Expansion of nominal capacity.

  • 1984

    Production of the millionth ton of pulp.

  • 1993

    Celtejo transformed into a public limited company, Portucel Tejo, SA.

  • 1994

    The 2nd million tons of pulp production was reached.

  • 2005

    Invescaima, SGPS, acquired Celtejo.

  • 2006

    Celtejo became part of the Altri Group.

  • 2015

    ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications.

  • 2021

    Celtejo becomes Biotek.
