Biotek is a benchmark company in the market for bleached eucalyptus pulp, with a strong emphasis on the TCF (Totally Chlorine Free) pulp market.
In 2008, Biotek completed the modification of its production process, starting to produce bleached short-fiber eucalyptus pulp.
The properties of the wood used and the very design of the production process with environmentally friendly technologies allow Biotek to produce TCF pulp and give Biotek's pulp specific qualities for its market.
Biotek's current production capacity reaches 200 thousand tons/year of BEKP pulp from wood certified according to FSC and PEFC standards.
Biotek's pulp is predominantly suitable for the tissue paper market, with almost all its production destined for the European Union markets. In these markets, approximately 10% of the pulp is transacted through a pipeline with the paper mills located in Vila Velha de Ródão, and the remainder is for the Central European countries, especially Northern European countries.
